End of the school year looms ever closer

And I am getting most impatient. Keeping young minds on task and focusing on school issues right now is a moot point. They are already on summer break.

To make matters worse, our new assistant superintendent has decided, in her infinite and unquestionable wisdom, that grades are to be final the Friday before school lets out.

Let me elucidate upon this matter.

This means there will be 3 1/2 days of school in which the students have no required classwork.

In an unairconditioned school.

The first week of June.

For me it is quite simple. My middle daughter does not have to return to school after that Friday, if she doesn't wish to. Same goes for my youngest at her elementary school. I see no benefit to making my kids sweat in 100 degree + classrooms because our new asst. sptd. doesn't have the foresight to consider such discomforts when she dictates recommends what our end of the year schedule shall be.

RAAAR! I am a rebel without my first cup of coffee in me! :)
